^AFAIK Mediatek chipset doesn't suffers from application compatibility like Intel.

There is no good 5 inch phone within your budget but if you can slightly increase your budget around 8.2k you can get Gionee Pioneer P4.if budget is issue then either you get moto E or wait for Xiaomi 1s.

from what ive used mediatek is much slower and cant run normal apps half the time on my tablet
atleast intel gives decent performance and can run whatever is supported(my friends zenfone 5)
id still stick to snapdragon though

Yes, Mediatek is slower but it runs all apps without any problem.mediatek and snapdragon have both advantages and disadvantages like snapdragon processors have heating issues but they are faster while mediatek is slower does not suffer from heating issues.

ive never had any success with mediatek (could be different for other mediatek cpus, but the ones ive used and owned were very troublesome)
plus mediatek doesnt release the source so no roms or very half baked roms and lesser apps which run on it
ive never had excessive heating on snapdragon and mediatek though ive seen reports of excessive heating for both
id anyday get snapdragon though because of ROMs and great speed and compatibility

only the 8xx series snapdragon have heating problem and it is mostly due to manufacturer going for too thin of a mobile. same for mediatek 6592 aka true octacore. forcing it at full clock will again cause heating as most mobiles are slim with no proper heatsink.

Redmi 1S or Asus Zenfone 4 (4.5") is already on preorder with slightly larger battery. Check that out. But like the other model, it too will most likely have low battery backup. But other than that there isn't much to complain.

all chips heats but then they start throttling down before it gets too hot... don't check battery temps check cpu temps

even cpu temps arent that high, its highly exagerated ,very few phones overheat notably samsung GS4 and GS5

blank again not sure what to do =/

stick to moto e ,safest buy!!
followed by zenfone, all other phones arent worth the trouble

Asus 4 SIM Type Dual Sim, GSM + WCDMA ? second GSM won't work?

Video play will support HD?

you misunderstood
wcdma and gsm are supported in both slots
you can use cdma and gsm on the phone in both slots
2 gsms or 2 cdma or 1 gsm and 1 cdma
video play should support HD imho, but wait for someone to confirm

now end up with 2 choices Asus Zenfone 4 A450CG & Micromax Canvas Doodle 3 A102 with 1 GB RAM

asus have 4.5inch & doodle have 6inch screen size. carrying 6in screen is may be not easy to carry in pocket? rest is fine by me.

I will suggest not to get either of them Zenphone 4 has a 1700maH battery so it will not last a single day without charging it as per micromax i will not suggest due to very bad display.

My suggestion is either get Moto E or try to get Xiaomi 1S.
