2. Display type and size? Any that goods for reading presentation slides
3. Form Factor? bar, slider, flip? Any
4. Preferred choice of brand? anything except samsung

6. What camera option you want? Please specify need for flash, autofocus, front facing camera. Any
7. Preferred operating system? (Android, Symbian, iOS, Windows Phone etc). Android

If you can increase your budget little more you can get lava 406Q which got 1GB of ram and snapdragon processor and you will surely get android 4.4 with an update.

A500s is useless now. either get the 406Q or Gionee P3 (from local shops, online prices are ridiculous)

5inches screen and HD playback is all i need :D asus is just 4 inch screen. still not bad but would prefer 5in one :p micromax canvas? my budget is 7k now.

^^yeah
plus the mediatek cpu found on canvas doodle has lesser app compatibility, roms etc than the snapdragon cpu on moto e
also snapdragon cpus perform better than mediatek cpus even the dual core cpus beat mediateks quad core cpus

for larger screen stick to asus
canvas is really bad,even xiaomi is better in terms of performance etc

^AFAIK Mediatek chipset doesn't suffers from application compatibility like Intel.

There is no good 5 inch phone within your budget but if you can slightly increase your budget around 8.2k you can get Gionee Pioneer P4.if budget is issue then either you get moto E or wait for Xiaomi 1s.
