5K to spare for Updating an Ultra Rig

I already have a 1 Year Old Rig With the following Config :

i7 2600K + Asus P8Z68 V pro
Corsair 4gb DDR3 Single stack ram 1600 Mhz
Sapphire 2gb 6950 DDR5
seagate 1 Tb 7200.12
G2220Hd
LG 24X Dvd writer
logitech wireless M215
Logitech G110 Kb
Logitech Z313 Speakers
Cabinet : Lian Li K62
PSU: Corsair 850Tx V2

as you can see , it is already a beast config..

I am a designer and i am alos planning to learn rendering.

I have about 5K budget to spare on an update..

What Should I go for ?
4 gb Ram , 8 Gb Ram , A SSD , or some other component.

Waiting for suggestions

i already have a USB 2.0 500gb external HDD & a 1TB usb 3.0 External HDD .. Hence I am not considering Internal HDD unless there is something significantly magnificient about it

I suggest u to get a SSD since u learn rendering and ur rendering software ll run efficiently. But not sure if it fits ur budget.

i will suggest get another same make & model 4GB ram & then save a little then buy the SSD

Add more RAM preferably of same make.One can alway add more/remove RAM later.

SSD would lower the loading times of applications and make the OS and applications more responsive.
SSDs would be faster than HDDs in seek and load times which are generally a small part of overall rendering process.
SSD won't help in increasing editor speed or rendering speed.
In case the render needs large amount of data or geometry and textures are too large that it takes an hdd much time to load,in that case the SSD
would be faster.That is not what usually happens though.
In case if you have less RAM and the model requires more memory then the process would use swapping or paging in case of windows.
In that case the speed of SSD would matter over HDDs.
But if your system is properly setup i.e. it has adequate amount of RAM to process the models without swapping or paging then SSD/HDD won't matter much.
For 3D rendering hdd speed is not a factor unless one is swapping or paging.

Pick up more RAM first,SSD can wait.

Ok.. Going with More Ram now.. Would add a 4gb or 8 gb stick

Yep, go for RAM, me also thinking of getting a 4gb upgrade for my current 4gb ram powered system.
