14''-15.6 inch/ Wieght wont matter as I wont be traveling with this

Third gen i3 + hd 4000 is more than enough for your work. The laptop looks rigid and is really well built.

Its relatively light too, tipping at 2.19kg.

Nice find mate. You can surely get that one but do note that it does not come with genuine win 8 but linux. That's the primary reason of its relatively low price advantage.
Btw, you know what to do in this case. ;)

Yes, it is. Vostro series has very good value and is rigidly build. Does not have a plasticky feeling like HP.

Op won't be playing games, so 7670m is not at all needed. A better processor will make more sense and i5 3rd gen fits the bill perfectly here. Besides hd 4000 is more than enough here and can do everything thrown at it.

Besides, at that pricepoint, there are better laptops from Asus that packs a ulv i3, 24gb ssd cache, and a gt 635M. Besides,the Asus is also a certified ultrabook.
