After booting up Vista, the CPU usage is around 70 - 80 % even when I am not running any program. Major chunk goes into svhost.exe and lsass.exe
Is there something wrong in the system or this is the way Vista behaves :D

I just formatted C Drive of a machine and loaded WIN XP PROF SP2. ( It was running on WIN 98 SE before). Now when I start the PC, it shows the following messsage and when I press OK it simply reboots...
i got stuck suddenly in a new problem today

An invalid parameter was passed to a service or function
system boots up again and again what to do now?
i dnt WANT to format.
i tried recovery console also but...

The system process 'F:\WINDOWS\system32\lsass.exe' terminated unexpectedly with status code 128. The system will now shut down and restart. and after 1 min system get restart i have tried componenet services in administrative tools and disable all services which are related to ''lsass.exe'' but...
i have installed Norton Anti virus.i have recently updated the virus definitions.
And all I want to know is.. where are these definitions saved.?
And guess what.. i got some problem with lsass.exe i had to shutdown in a minute after logging on to the internet...
Any solution guys????
In task manger I ended a task named LSASS.EXE now coundown starts from 60 and it says something like unexpectional...... :roll: ended at code 1 ......can't read it .........Is this a virus or my comp... is infected with a worm..........

i install patch for this virus..!!
and run norton removal tool ...!!
and norton 2003 Pro with latest update..!!
is scan with all antivirus...!! with latest update..!!
but still problem of Lsass.exe application...
