^^ And what you got to back that up... A damn Yahoo! Answers page... :lol: Any fellow who never saw the phone can post such stuff...

Trust me, I only bought W230 because of W270 not supporting mp3 ringtones. You think I never checked it out?

Check the 2nd link posted by MetalheadGautham in Post no. 4.

+1 to the 1100+Tsonic option

And about the Spice phone, it is just a simple GSM phone. You can use it with any operator.
whats the advantage with the 1100 + TSonic option ?

And any reviews of the spice phone ? Should it be unlocked to use with BSNL or airtel or vodafone ?

W230 or any other phone, even more expensive ones wont support cards greater than 2gb. Even if they cud, it'd be hellish slow. :(

What about using two cards at a time ?
One of my friends has a phone (dunno model no) for which he purchased a casing for Rs. 20.
In the casing, there is a tiny pouch to store two extra memory cards.

I am thinking of getting something similar.

@IronManForever

i tried using a song, The Trooper - Iron Maiden, as a ring tone.
works perfectly.

^ Thanks. I did not have any 1st hand experience.

@MetalheadBautham.

What I do feel it that, it will need significantly high budget for any mobile phone to parallel the music playing capabilities/ease of use of your T610. In W230 you wont find an equaliser; you wont have the option of using your Philips headphones or any other of your choice. Unless you buy a converter or so. And I feel that will be cumbersome.
And using 2 cards; are you comfortable with that? I'd not want carrying a card, outside my device; wven if we have a casing that has all those pouches. :neutral:

Ok then. Guess I should just delete some less played songs to make space for better ones.

But I am still intrested in that Spice phone because its just 2K, and I feel its worth spending 1K extra after selling the x210 to get a phone like that. What do you guys say ? Is the music player and torchlight worth the price ?

^ Is 2GB of music less for you? What bitrate do your songs have? 320 kbps?
At 128 kbps; you can accomodate 400 mp3's which is one fourth of my current collection. For a small portable music player, 400 songs are good enough. And 128 kbps aint bad either.

I mean, seriously, if you are not going for 10-day long vacations every 2 months, then 2GB ought to enough for you. Don't be greedy; one never listens all the songs everyday.. :p

Well, I listen to songs all the time. And I have 128kbps songs, but thats often the upper limit. Many are 32kbps, 64kbps, 112kbps and some even 24kbps.

damn busy...
Whoa dude 32kbps :eek: . Do u enjoy music at dat low quality ? :D

Oops i missed 24kbps :shock:

whatever dude. At 24kbps using high end encoder is like using 97 Octane petrol in a 65cc vehicle :wink: :rolleyes:
Depends. Serious metal requires high bitrate, but low end stuff like rap and bolly can do with 24kbps without sounding bad due to existance of less complex sounds.

But yeah, 2GB is still too little for me. I have 90% of my stuff around 128KBPS you know... ;-)
