So, just asked for price at my local mobile shop. 37990 for v30+ and 39990 for g7+. Either have to wait for online sale or find another mobile with better price.

Just saw today that FK has put up V30+ for sale at 27,999. Amazon is at 31,550. While going through the spec found out that model being sold is H930DS which is actually V30 with 128GB & 4 GB RAM( Was under the impression until today that it was V30S ThinQ which is a 2018 model). V30 + is 2017 model. Didn't see much in the comparison on GSMarena other than OS. Is it still advice able to go for a two year old model at this price?. Is it worth it?. Or should i check for any other phones? Please advice urgently. Need to decide before it goes out of sale at FK.

For mobile phones I would not suggest buying a 2 years old model unless it is iphone because its resell value even then would be higher than similarly old android phones.

The one in Amazon & FK seem same to me. The "2018" model of V30 is just a marketing gimmick when ThinQ software package came out. Both are same except for 6GB RAM in V30S. Both should get the same number of android updates, Pie, that should be last.

It is 1.5 years old now & S8 is almost 2 years old now. But those 2 are some of the best choices at 30k in India if you need an overall good phone (for performance, Poco F1). You can always choose G7 or Poco F1 Armored edition (6GB variant) for something newer. S8's camera is still better than OP6T (except for portrait mode). What you lose with old flagships are software updates. But newer android versions don't add anything significant. Upcoming One UI update for S8 is kind of significant, but usually, it still looks & feels same, mostly.

I guess if I have to buy something with latest software, I have to go with android one mobiles. Any suggestions for a good VFM mobile? One more thing i want to add is that whichever mobile I buy I want to use it for at least 2 to 3 years. So it has to be durable.

V30+ comes with AI features but LG has given these features to LG V30 with an update

LG V30 is one of the most durable phone and if I had option between LG V30 and One plus 6 I would still buy LG V30.
Pros
Water & Dust Resistance (IP68), Highly Durable With MIL-STD 810G.
Wide angel camera
Quad DAC
QHD OLED display
Handy
Snapdragon 835 is still much better than any chipset in mid range

Con
UI

Those features alone are enough to get this phone for 30k

Asus Zenfone Max Pro M2 is a good VFM choice IMO. Will easily last for next 2-3 years.

Poco F1 armored edition at 22/23k is good as well. Flash it with stock android ROM & pixel camera, it becomes a very good device. MIUI is good as well & there are no ads on Poco yet.

Nokia 8.1 is another good choice, a bit pricey due to the brand name but still better than Samsung mid-rangers. V30+ at 28k is not a bad deal. Or wait for a week, G7 might go for under 30k again.

It is a decent LCD panel, doesn't seem bad in any way:
Pocophone F1 by Xiaomi review

Apple iPhone XR might have a far superior LCD, but for under 30k, I don't see it as a con at all (notch is a different thing). There should be option in settings to change display temperature, etc in settings of MIUI.
