My old bike is giving way and I am in need of a new bike for daily commute (approx 60 kms daily) and for long trips during the weekend.

M y budget is 1 lakh but I can stretch it to 1.5 lakh I guess(if fits my requirements.)

I want

1. Full metal body(I don't want any easily breakable plastic parts.)

2. Tubeless tyres.

3. Selfstart with Kickstart and good battery.

4. Decent mileage (40-50 kms).

5. Good seating posture for long rides(300-400 kms).

6. Short seat height or reduceable height(as I'm only 5'6" tall hence maneuvering a tall bike jeopardizes my ride.)

7. Mature looks (as I am 32 so bikes like KTM , Pulsar, Gixxer etc. will do me no good).

8. Reliability.

9. Good looks.

I have tried REClassic 350 but only my toes touch the ground so maneuvering it in traffic might be tricky.

Avenger 150 Street -I didn't enjoy the seating posture.

Intruder 150 - Plasticky hence out of the list.

I am planning on Electra ES though I haven't tried it-Can it's seat height be reduced?

Any other bikes that you can suggest?

Have you tried Avenger Cruise 220? The seating posture is somewhat same however the handle posture is entirely different. Bike is mostly metal and engine is powerful for daily commute.

I have street 220.

I don't think there are any metal bikes in market except Thunderbird 350 that fits your checklist. It is however more than your budget...around 30k more.
Try a Thunderbird 350 and maybe you can find a less used one under 1.5L or extend your budget.

Full metal bike under 200k is quite difficult. Only thing that comes to mind that fits OP's requirements is Hyosung Aquila 250. But it has a fuel economy of 20-25 & not to mention thrice the budget.

I haven't tried Avenger Cruise 220 but'll give it a shot.

I am not a big fan of Thunderbird because I don't like the design of the bike. Also it's out of budget.

Even if not full metal at least amount of plastic parts should be less as they break easily compared to metal parts.

Have you tried UM Renegade or Commando? It's comfortable and powerful, and is at 1.5L. It's not really good however, atleast not value for money. But checks what you need.

I would recommend RE 350 or Avenger 220 to you.

Nearest dealership of UM is nearly 300 KM's away from home, otherwise would have definitely bought it

Heard new series Avenger doesn't have kickstart is it true? Kickstart is mandatory for me.

What about Bullet Es 350? I mean can it's seat height be reduced?

Ok I'll consider Fz25. Does it have kickstart option?
Kick-start will be a rarity in bikes with 150cc+ displacement.
RE is a highly customizabl bike, so I think you get can the height adjusted by after market shops, even if the stock options doesn't allow you to.

Okay thanks

But is there any specific reason for lack of kick start in modern bikes? For I own a bike without kick and that's the only issue with it.

I went to Yamaha Showroom today but it didn't have Fz in stock. The owner was my friend and said he could have it delivered within a week but advised against the purchase due to high fuel consumption.

35-40kmpl is not that bad for a 250cc bike.
Although compared to its displacement the power figures are low...however the bike has quick acceleration due to mid range torque.

Yup.
I get 35kmpl from my avenger with sane riding. And it's not even a 250cc.
FZ250 is good bike for city and pretty sporty, IMO.

Yup but the price is too high in my opinion. Fz 25 with Kickstart costs 1.38 lacs in my area. Also the seat height is too high 795 mm.
