Hi Friends,

I am not able to open the login page of my modem TP-Link W8951ND since the past few days. I have tried via several devices(all wireless though, not able to try via a lan cable as of now) and I get this-
The connection has timed out

The server at 192.168.1.1 is taking too long to respond.

The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments.
If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer’s network connection.
If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web.

If I ping 192.168.1.1 via cmd I am getting replies. Are there any troubleshooting steps that I should follow rather than resetting the modem? I have done many settings as suggested here by members- *forum.digit.in/software-q/197264-manage-internet-connections-through-modem-6.html don't want to go through them again after resetting.

Thanks

Reset the modem to factory defaults using the pinhole reset method.
There should be a reset button located beneath a tiny pinhole sized opening.
These issues do happen due to some firmware or memory bugs, and generally resetting can fix the problems.

Facing same issues on my TD-W8968. Have already reset it many times, still the issue keeps crawling back.
On a number of times it resets itself without me touching the reset button. Have to do initialization of the internet settings again and again.

So maybe this problem is common in TP-Link modems.

Yes, I have a TP Link Router and it had similar problems when I upgraded the Firmware.
Had to rollback to fix it.
TP Link Firm wares are pretty crap.
