Hello, since asus zenfone lazer is out, I think I should go for it. But I am bit worried about the processor. 1.2 ghz quadcore with 2 gb ram is ok for decent performance. The other zenfone with 1.8ghz or with 3 gb ram is above 10k which is out of my budget. I am not a heavy gamer(the games I normally play is like hill climb racing, chess, basketball shoot) and also do not watch movie that much or use internet on my phone(my model is Y5360 from Samsung). I do like to have a good camera as I sometimes shoot pictures and also record video. Lenovo K3 note was my choice but some of you have advised not to go for it although it has a octacore mediatek processor which some say is not better than snapdragon. Also MI note 2 will be releasing with 2 ghz processor but no expandable memory. So, I would Asus be a good choice even if it has a low processor

Many thanks. So, I think Asus would be a good choice for me and processor would not be a big difference as I am not a heavy gamer or multitasking. Also another thing I came to know recently the sim slot is a hybrid(I mean can be used for both sim and sd card). This means only 1 sim would be there if micro sd card is used. Its an disadvantage I think but 16 gb internal memory will be helpful if most of it can be used for storage.Still I do not like this feature and another sd slot would have been nice. I guess Yureka plus or lenovo has both sims and extra sd card slot but I may be wrong. I am assuming the camera, call quality and battery life would be good and also the after sales service. I do have a Rashi Peripheral office here in bhubaneswar but I am not sure if they provide the service for mobile. Any way, I would wait for it to go on sale in retail or a little price cut or some offer. Finally I did not rush to buy some other phone even if my brothers asked me and my wait finally gave me a good result with launch of this phone. Some reviews I read are good and the plus point they are telling is the camera. Only the matt finish prone to finger prints and odd placed power button was listed as problems which I think is not that much trouble.

If you need long lasting options and it has to be a phablet, I suggest you look into phones with a hood reputation. Something of a "brand" that can be trusted and increasing budget is the only option that way. Moto has a great selection, look into that if you are wiling to invest more.

Budget is a bit of a constraint, so of the lot, I would settle for the more reliable one from the ones available in my budget..

Overall, I am leaning towards Lenovo K3 Note. What is your take on the same?

Get it, battery is just average though, otherwise a good phone for 10k

K3 vs m2:
Both have similar cameras.
K3 has a better display
m2 is slightly better battery life

Compared to Yureka plus, i can't say much as yureka plus doesn't have detailed reviews anywhere. K3 may have a bit better battery life (screen should be better too)

You can check ASUS Zenfone 2 Laser too. It has an inferior display, but that gives it a better battery life. Camera is good for the price.

Thanks.. I am now leaning towards K3 Note.
I too have same comments about Yureka plus.. no clear reviews anywhere... plus 2500mAH battery doesnt sound promising (on paper atleast)

Secodly I am hoping that Lenovo service may be slightly better than Meizu (I am aware that service levels of such phones should not really be compared)

waiting for tomorrow's Mobile sale on FK.. hopefully I will make the purchase. Will keep people posted

Lenovo service is horrible trust me probably as bad as a newcomer chinese company
I had 2 Lenovo tabs at home myself

Plus K3 Note houses a Mediatek cpu, a big No-Go imho

Asus Zenfone series is better in every way except display size

remember asus zenfone has intel processor

Zenfone 2 Laser has Qualcomm chipset. Zenfone 2 (Delux) has 2nd gen Intel soc. Using the old Intel chipset on 1st gen Zenfone was one of the worst possible decision by Asus. Runs more hot than a XFX 8600GT microwave edition.

Agree but avoiding both are better.

True but given a choice between Mediatek and intel , Intel will always be better
As for Snapdragon , the newer 615,810 etc are rather power hungry and heaty
Thats the only problem with phones like Moto X Play(SD615) - CPU throttling which causes stutter(not lag)
otherwise Intel is actually a good option in this price range
