Price : 15k

Os : Android

Brand :Sony,Samsung,LG,Moto,htc

Use : Gaming,watching videos,decent camera

So i've rounded in on J7 is it a good buy?How does it compare to G3? G3 has snap 410 but it looks like exynos 7580 in j7 beats even snap 615 in benchmarks so i am assuming it'll handle games more smoothly

Will j7 not having gorrilla glass be a problem ?

Another irritant in j7 is no light sensor

Any other better phones ?

Ps: Not a fan of Xiaomi

I think Moto G3 is overall a better phone than J7 (even though inferior in processing power, it makes up due to more RAM & stock android)

Will 1.5 gigs of ram be a problem for gaming ? Sure g3 will multi task better
Also i don't think stock android and +512mb can make up for the diff between 410 and exynos 7580

When its crapwiz, 2 GB ram feels like 512 MB.

Better get 64 GB versions of Oneplus One or Mi4 if gaming is top most priority.

NO. Provided J7 shipped with stock android. It doesn't. You get excellent hardware in J7 but software wise, you'll get Touchwiz which is still a bloat eating up both ram and internal memory. Plus it may never receive any update. Other than Grand no other sub 20k phone from Samsung seem to have any luck.

Lastly i can't remember any device from Samsung stable that doesn't have "S6" or "Note" in their name getting mentioned for having quality build. Whereas Motorola G & X series (this time even more so) are praised for proper handling and premium feel in hand.

Touchwiz takes more RAM than stock android. If J7 had 2GB RAM, then it wouldn't have been a problem but 1.5GB would be

J7 still might be able to run games at higher graphics settings than Moto G3, so get J7 if are going to use for gaming mostly

Why don't you buy Xiaomi Mi4i 32GB? Its a much more balanced phone overall even though S615 is a bit inferior to 7580.

You can stretch your budget to 17k & get Xperia Z1, which has S800, a balanced phone overall, will get future updates, atleast till M(already has 5.1.1 update). Only con is the glass, so just handle it carefully.... My friend's Z1's back glass cracked when it fell down the stairs (that was some serious fall though). Sony gives 6 months ADP (My friend got his Z1 replaced after its glass cracked)

Just get Moto
Not worth buying Xiaomi,Infocus,samsung etc
Moto does an excellent job of optimisation and its even better than Google's own optimisation of Nexus roms

coming from a Nexus 5 user

Buy InFocus M810 at 13k

Relatively new brand, build quality & software questionable

I agree Moto G3 is overall a good balanced phone for most people but if someone wants best performer in the segment, then Moto doesn't stand a chance

I would pick g3 coz of the reasons that
multitasking better, Android 6.0 guaranteed with a lot smooth and clean UI.

CPU + GPU
Many other phones have better hardware, games would run better in those

Moto G3 is fast enough for daily use, multitasking n all due to stock android... So it might have the fastest UI in that segment

Not really
stock android Lollipop is actually a poor performer especially on my Nexus 5 and 7
its due to Moto's optimisations are miles ahead of other OEMs recently

Also Touchwiz is a memory hog, doesnt matter if it has better hardware, itll still underperform overall

Don't know the problem with your N5 & N7 but my old N4 runs fine, on custom ROM though

Touchwiz has been toned down since lollipop era, so i don't think its still a memory hog as you use to remember. My friend's Grand Prime is pretty fast for a Samsung(bit slower than stock UI)

Still in gaming, I think J7 will beat Moto G3 (Mi4i, Z1 too will beat it easily)

I don't know about j7. I have bought Xperia z1 couple of weeks back. Android 5.1.1 update is about to arrive and Sony has also released M developer's preview for Z1.so hopefully Z1 will get Android M. If you are talking about custom roms I don't think there will be many custom roms fir Galaxy J7. Samsung releases too many galaxy model within very short time gap. And as a result there is not many dedicated developers. I have friends using Samsung and all I can say TouchWiz is horrible. Sony customUI is very close to stock. Battery life is quite good. And I think Z1 definitely has better camera than J7. Only two things can make you consider to go for J7, one is LTE support and Display with better viewing angle.

^Custom ROM support for Sony sucks. If OP need good developer support he should go with moto G3.

@OP i would say increase your budget and get One plus one.

Custom rom for Sony is not much because of bootloader unlocking issue. If you unlock the bootloader, some features like, Xreality, bravia engine, bionz etc... Will not work. So people try to stick to stock or stock based rom. And Sony keeps almost stock android on Xperia. So there is not much missing.

Yeah right

Sony have great custom ROM support cause of the developer friendly ness of Sony and also cause of the aosp tree that they release for their devices
