Android or Windows.
7. Preferred connectivity options (3G, 4G ready).
3g is sufficient.
8. Primary use of handset (multimedia, camera, internet, gaming etc)?
Internet and Camera.
9. Any specific mobile phones in consideration?
Moto E(2nd gen),Asus Zenfone 4,Redmi 2.

The phone's for my Dad.So need something with good battery life and better build quality,as he is on field duty.

Can you suggest better version of lumia within this range?
How is Moto e camera compared to redmi 2. (Not talking only about Mexapixel).As the phone will be used for site photography.

For older people I think Windows Based phone is better I agree but I think if we have the Lite Version selected for Redmi then it will suffice as well.

These are all custom skinned UI and people has a love or hate relation with them I like a few and hate nearly all but that is just a case with me. Has your father ever used Ios? If yes than going with Xiaomi is a good option and if not take your father to the nearest lumia outlet and ask him to use a L535 if he likes it just go with it.

on Amazon MS official store is selling the phone for about 8k whereas on fk it is available for 7.6k I guess. Buy from anyone of them.
