My computer's date is changing automatically whenever I shut down it down. What could be the possible reason and solution??

if date resets back to some old time/year after every shutdown then it means motherboard CMOS battery(button cell) needs changing.

It can only be done manually, there is no automatic way of changing it.

Fun apart, its a button cell (just like u see in a watch but larger than that ofcourse) on your motherboard. Its easy to locate and change.

You can do it yourself, it's damn easy. Just get a new CMOS cell (costs ₹25) and look for videos on YouTube on how to replace the cell. It's just a 30s procedure.

Yep, CMOS battery is the culprit. Replacing it is as simple as replacing the battery of you mobile phone.
