I had just opened a video, and started AMD CCC ( Catalyst Control Center ) to change the Gamma a bit , when suddenly , my monitor (Samsung P2350) showed "Auto Adjustment" suddenly and my screen streched out the sides.

I cannot figure out what or where the problem lies, when i took a screenshot, the whole screen came out alright , but on my monitor it;s still streched out.

I cropped the Screeshot , here's how it looks on my monitor with 1920x1080 resolution.

I tried Auto Adjustment again, tweaked options in CCC but cannot get back to normal again. I don't know how this got triggered i haven't changed anything as far as i remember.

I reinstalled/updated AMD Drivers , still nothing.

Any help ?

Hmm...Uninstall the drivers completely from Device manager and install them again.
Also are you using HDMI connectivity ??

AFAIK .. "Auto Adjust" appears only when on VGA connection.. if you are using VGA then you are doing "HD" wrong :p .

jokes apart.. try resetting your monitor to factory defaults.

@anand.. it has VGA and DVI only..

I know , i used to have DVI earlier, but i think my DVI port faulty :( Well i really didn;t bother to test.. but now i think i have to find a fix for the DVI issue ..

The only thing monitor sets to default is the color , no change in size and position.

I will try to connect the monitor to other PCs and see what happens... well, thanks for your replies everyone.

ok I also accidentally got this same problem just now :p ..

in your monitor press menu > Setup and Reset > PC/AV Mode > Set To PC. ( When this is set to AV) it stretched out)

I got a shocker today when I turned on my PC massive light bleeding middle of the screen. I had moved the monitor yesterday between floors. will be creating a thread if problem persists :'( , I got the same problem what you mentioned when I trying out the settings :p

I cannot access the PC/AV mode in my Setup and Reset Menu :( It's grey'ed out. Is this because i use VGA ?

go to CCC. search scaling. and see if u are able to find appropriate option.

Wow. THere was no 'scaling' option in my CCC panel but a Image Size and Position Adjustment was there, it fixed the resolution problem after i clicked on the arrow to press the image inward horizontally.

But i feel like the text is a bit fuzzy now :( Tweaking cleartype options didn't help :( Will have to get DVI somehow .

Still, resolution problem is fixed , thanks ! ! !
