hp dv6 6165tx
Asus k53SV

see k53sv is way less than 60k its around 47k and dv6 6165tx is around 55k so you can go for either of the two and mind you dv6 has a better gfx.

HP Notebook dv6-6165tx Laptop--Rs. 58336
Asus K Series K53SV-SX521V Laptop--Rs. 52813 @ Flipkart

I will suggest Asus. I know gfx is better in HP but still other things are better in Asus.

Blindly is a word used for ultra trustable things, which HP is surely not. So, its a request to all members to use apt words when suggesting something and don't start a bash in every thread.

HP, and the dv6 series in particular is known for heating issues, but its new line of laptops do not have any such issues. And most laptops using 1st gen sandy bridge were having heating issues. HP's service is also good at most places. And if there are few examples of bad service or defective parts, they are there for every brand, even Dell which is considered as having the best ASS.
Under 60k, the dv6 6165tx is the best laptop for gaming (pls. I am NOT saying its a gaming laptop). Its build quality is good, it has beats audio which is only bested by XPS, and the best graphics in that price. It does heat up with some games at ultra settings, but that is bound to happen unless you buy a gaming laptop with really good (and heavy) cooling systems, which would also be heavier on OP's pocket.
So HP might not be "ultra-trustable" but it still is very trustable and in my opinion would be best for OP.

@OP if you go for this laptop or any other laptop, don't go for it blindly. Do check out everything you can find about it. And do check the dv6 thread.

@sujay I do not want to start a bash with this post ;) . But its siddharth's opinion that OP should blindly go for dv6. And I don't think there is anything wrong about giving your opinion. That's what happens in a forum doesn't it ? Also if a 'bash' is started, won't it be to the OP's benefit ?

go for the dv6, it is flimsy in some places but in the long run it will be better than the asus, as it has better hinges, which matter a lot. the asus has got generally better build but i still cant figure out why they made most of it using metal and left the hinges normal (but still pretty good) plastic. its screen WILL get loose but the dv6 screen will be kept up for years by the metal hinges. and the dv6 is pretty well built too, tough more flexy than the asus or the cb35 or the xps 15. i would've gone with one of the other three too but the plastic hinges stopped me. as a laptop the dv6 is simply better than those three. if you know how to take care of stuff and not treat something worth 50k rs like a cricket bat or football then you can BLINDLY go for the dv6. but do learn how to thermally manage a laptop.

For both of them flipkart has written gt520, while people say its gt540m in comments. I'd say pick between asus and hp.

Starting with HP, ironically I myself have very good experience with it. But, some of my friends' dv6 laptops have suffered a lot. Some have went through also. Though most of them were first gen, I know that 2nd gen has got a drastic better cooling over first gen, still I've seen many users getting high temps. For ex- in dv6 thread, a user was getting 85° while playing CS! Can you believe it? Don't say that he doesn't knows how to manage a laptop "thermally". If a laptop heats up to 85° by playing CS, I don't know what to say next. And yeah, all laptops heat up, but like this? Of course HP has improved a lot on heating issues, I too agree on this, but it still has got a far way to go. Apart from that, dv6 is one of the best lappies, I just wish if HP could provide decent hardware to handle such horsepower. Then I'll be happy to recommend it to damn every user. :)

There's nothing wrong in giving your opinion mate, but it should be in a informative way. Not just like this, one says this, one that, then boom! I guess you know what I mean to say by informative way.
Regarding bashing, it is helpful, but once its done, should be tried to skip further. There are some debates which never end (dv6 vs XPS), but just derail the thread. We can just give the link of a particular thread if he can learn from an already debated bash. See the following scenarios-

d1- Go for dv6, its best.

d2- I suggest you to go for dv6 if your priority is gaming/CAD, but if you're gonna game hard, temps go a bit high, so it'd be better if you can buy a cooler along with it (just in case of extreme gaming).
x1- Go for XPS.

x2- Go for XPS if you want good config with complete peace of mind with Dell ASS. But its kind of less VFM, as in if you're ready to compromise with some features like 1080p and blah blah, have a look at K53..
c1- Go for the sexy cb35, you won't regret.
c2- You can go for cb35 if you want an all rounder, but since its GPU is a mid class one, you'll not be able to play latest games at highs.

In all 3 situations, when a user posts reply of first kind (d1,x1,c1), first negative thing happens is that the OP doesn't gets full info about the lappi, then a 2nd user posts -ve comments/aspects about the first reply, and then 3rd user, then 4th, then so on. Result = full bash with complete thread derail.

Its not that members are less informed or something like that, but they act like newbies and sound illogical.

I think you (and all others reading this post), get my point, and what I want to say. :)

PS: I guess no more replies are needed after my this post. :)

see both hp and k53sv are good laptops but hp has hardware failure issues if you purchase hp go for the extended warranty otherwise go for k53sv great vfm totally worth it how much you are paying for . And for your information it may seem to you asus is new player in Indian market but its a big player in global market with the least hardware failure issues i have been gaming for years now its like every laptop will heat up a bit during gaming but asus has advantage because it takes care of the cooling system , because it has great heat sink. My point of view is if you want to do extreme gaming better go for a desktop because genuine gaming laptops in india will cost you a fortune and you would never get real feeling of the latest games in laptops.
so call is yours again i will say hp has better gfx, but prone to hardware and heating issues so better go for a extended warranty anyways all the best take your call wisely.
