Hi guyz ! I am karthik from chennai, India, an IT pro. I am planning to buy a laptop with a max budget of 40 k.(35k will be very good). My constraints are,

Minimum core i3 processor
Dedicated graphics card to play 2009-2010 in atleast medium settings
4 gb ram
very good display(The most important criteria as i ll do a lot of programming)
good service(the second most important)

I had a look @ Vostro 1550
Vostro 1550 Laptop Details | Dell India
and dell inspiron 14r.

I dont know abt asus/lenovo brand . By my cousin said lenovo is meant for hard use . Could anyone suggest me a decent laptop?

Also in many forums i ve heard a lot of positives about asus !

The Vostro link you posted has only Intel graphics. You wont be even be able to play latest games leave playing them at medium settings. Since Gaming is a priority buying a desktop is much more sensible.
the best laptop to buy would be this
Asus K Series K53SV-SX520D Laptop: Flipkart.com: Compare, Review Asus Notebook

Although a bit more than desired 35k budget this is more than enough to play most latest games at decent settings. 2 gb Nvidia 540m is a very good laptop graphics chip.

Thanks for the prompt response ! I had a good look @ Asus K Series K53SV-SX520D

very good specs. But my concern is glare screen. Since my laptop is goona be used for office purpose also, is anti-glare screen/matt finish screen a sensible option than glare screen ?

Also in a review of a k series laptop,

Review Asus K53SV-SX131V Notebook - Notebookcheck.net Reviews

notebookcheck quoted,

"What was able to impress us was the stable case made of aluminum. The palm resting area never gets too warm thanks to the IceCool technology. The system noise is also a positive aspect. What dulls the good impression is the reflective display with a meager brightness, and narrow viewing angles. Interfaces such as USB 3.0 and an ExpressCard slot are both missed with the Asus K53SV. Bluetooth would also be favorable for the notebook, but is absent in the K53SV."

Is that a fact that i should consider?

Well, you can try going to any showroom at a mall and see if they stock or contact Asus and request them for a Demo. I think its a good one. Havent used one personally so cant comment properly about screen. Demo should help you :)

And i am not planning to play graphic heavy games in my laptop. Laptops which can play game titles upto 2009-10 with medium settings is fine for me . Coz my PC is heavyweight

Sorry for the plan change guyz . My budget has been cut short . So i am looking for a laptop in a budget of 30-35k . Moderate gaming will be there. So do suggest a laptop with a dedicated gfx card
