Man, to be honest, go outside. Do jogging, if you don't/can't run without looking stupid(i don't like to run outside, feels weird) then buy a bike [cycle with minimum 5gears]. The joy of cycling is awesome!

Yeah exercise bikes are good. Ive got a threadmill too though. I think both serve their purpose but i usually do the cycling only these days.

If that is the case, then go for a treadmill cause exercise bike will only workout your thigh muscles. the treadmill will work on your calf, hamstring, thigh and every other muscle in your legs.
Also wear a sweat shirt to allow more sweating. Don't turn ON the fan.

What The.... !!!
Okay, so you weigh 102KGs right?
no worries
Try my solution
Get yourself a BSA Photon Bike @3k
and use it for your daily commutes and morning 5-6Km cycling daily (and pedal hard)
Take Oats for Breakfast, rotis and vegetables for lunch and only fruits for Dinner
Try this for 2-3 months, it will strengthen your muscles around your joints and protect them from damage
within 2-3 months you should lose a considerable amount of mass and your core muscles will be strengthened with exercise
Then start walking and cycling at morning alternate days
try this, but i warn you it isn't easy to maintain
But once you start losing weight, you'll love your body once more

Democracy is a myth
I was just going to recommend skipping rope but @102, it won't be easy.

Apart from exercising, I think u should consult a dietitioner. He/she should be in a better position to say which particular diet you should follow. Not every diet chart is suitable for everyone.

Then, start with treadmill and some belly crunches exercises.

if you are planning for buying then go for elliptical trainer , this will help you to loose fat very quickly....

Remember to rename the thread
Its treadmill not trademill
I think treadmill is better if you are looking forward to reduce your weight:)

Sujoy, I will share some of my views on the exercising equipment that you are planning. I think three things which will help you in loosing weight are
1. TreadMill
2. Stationery Bicycle
3. Elliptical Trainer

I have read somewhere and also from personal experience feel that in some cases using Treadmill may cause Knee Pain especially if you keep inclination option. However if you have never had any problem with your knees or anybody in your family has any knee pain etc then Tread Mill will be a good option.

Bicycle is also a good option however I don't think you will be losing much of fat/weight with this one. Will take longer time.

I would say elliptical trainer is pretty good option as well on par with Treadmill esp for people with knee pain etc.

What is your height?

That is an important factor to assess how overweight you are.

I think if you plan to have something indoor I would suggest you to do aerobics. Try to google for something called Taebo. I can bet it works best. I know a close friend of mine who was able to loose quite some weight following that without any treadmill etc.

offtopic that dog of yours is cute man. When I come to Nagpur would like to see your dog.

My suggestion....join a gym for cardio exercises which will include treadmill....and trust me there are much fatter people than you....you are just 102 kg...i have seen a guy weighing 120kg though he was 6'3".....instead of buying one goto a gym...coz i feel if you buy one you won't be regular.....

^^
It all depends on how motivated you are
I have seen ppl who crawl out of gym slowly within a month just because they run of motivation....:D
