Hello friends,

I have a query that i need to clear.

I have my new house constructed. I have got LAN wires in every room of the house and all are converging to one place. Now I want to have an internet connection connected, so that I can use my laptop by connecting it in any room by the LAN wire present there.

The problem here is, there are about 10 rooms in the house where the LAN wire is reaching. I want the internet to reach in all those rooms, but without Networking. Yes, without networking. I mean i want them to run as parallel lines to the main internet connection, so that I can get away with the Networking settings in each and every system that i use.

Please tell me if it is possible. Either yes or no, suggest me the appropriate hardware(router, wifi repeaters..etc).

Thanks in advance

Get a router having 10 ports to connect LAN and put that in the room where all the LANs are getting converged and attach all the LAN wires to router and you can access net to all your 10 rooms but your router needs to be powered on whenever you want to use net.
This should do the job for you I guess.

I don't think so because my friend uses this setup in his own home but he has not 10 rooms of course :) :p But he didn't made any settings AFAIK.
