BTW i wonder what Intel does if its Core i7 or i5 ends up with 1 or more faulty core. maybe throw them away. or maybe lock the core permanently.

read this -

Intel Selling Processor Performance Upgrade Cards [Intel Can Upgrade Your System's Performance For Just $50 With A Gift Card] TFTS – Technology, Gadgets & Curiosities

this will mean i suppose that intel locks these things permanently only.

Nvidia ?
That will be way too expensive and hard to find.
Zotac will be more VFM but got 2 years of warranty.
EVGA is good but expensive and hard to find in India.
Asus's quality is good too.
People suggest to stay away from Asus and XFX cos of Rashi.
Rashi got fcking pathetic service in Kolkata.....

Got my new config today from SMC International. I went to their store at Nehru Place to buy it and found that they have a lot more things than they have listed on their website. I can now see why whats written here - Milestones/SMC Achievements is true. The people know what they're selling, didn't seem biased and they had a lot of rush in their store.
The only downside was I had to wait for 1.5hrs to get my PC (mainly due to the out of stock things and the rush). Overall it was a great experience.

AMD athlon ii x4 635 @ 5.1k
Gigabyte 880GM UD2H @ 4.5k
G.Skill 4 GB DDR3 1333MHz Kit @ 4.2k
CM Elite 430 @ 2.7k
500 GB Seagate HDD @ 1.8k (I wanted to go for WD but WB blue was out of stock)
LG DVD writer @ 1k (Lite-on was out of stock)
Dell ST2220 LED 22" Monitor @ 8.8k
Logitech MX 518 @ 1.45k
CM GX 550 @ 4.5k (both corsair vx 450 & 550 were out of stock)
Netgear USB N150 WiFi card @ 0.9k
Netgear N150 ADSL2+ WiFi router @ 1.4k
Logitech Webcam @ 0.8k

Total = 37.2k

Will get it assembled and post pics in a day or two.

Psychosocial

Violent serenity.
Sennheiser HD408 for around 2.4k.

Comfortable and snazzy. Powerful bass, clear highs and balanced mids. Volume level is great and hardly distorts at higher levels. Sound staging is perfect. Crystal clear sound. Instrument separation is top notch too. Only downside is the short cable and no volume control. Overall, a recommended pair of headphones!
