Lcd tv+pc+hd

This is a repost; cos i really cant believe nobody on the entire digit forum is able to answer this!!

i recently connected my pc to my panasonic lcd television set(32",720p capable) through the analogue connector.
i watched some hd clips on this setup and they worked and looked quite good.
but the lcd tv doesn't support resolutions of above 1024*768 when in the 'pc mode'.
so was i actually watching videos in HD or did they just look better due to larger/better screen(my monitor is a standard 17" CRT).

Config:Core2duo E7300; intel DG43NB; Kingston 2GB DDR2 800Mhz; XFX nvidia 9500GT; sata hdd.

you were watching in HD! better connect your TV through a HDMI cable to get ebtter quality!

yes, better try an Digital connector. Use HDMI or DVI and change the PC res. to 1280 X 720. Check whether it works.
