the features i want are 1.unlimited storage 2.unlimited bandwidth usage 3.if the image is resized it should not be less than 1600 x 900 4.all the regular features such as hotlinking should be present 5. ability to create albums, groups or categories etc 6. all these features should be available in a free account

i was earlier using imageshack.us but it resized my large images(1600 x 900) to 1024 x 768....then i started using imgx.org but
last night some of my images in a forum were displaying this message- "this file has had too many views or exceeded the limits of usage"...the thumbnail was not visible.

when i tried to open imgx.org i got this message- Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (11)....sonow i want to switchto a different website...please suggest..
thank you.

i did consider photobucket but i see a lot of - "Upgrade to Pro Today Bandwidth exceeded" message on a lot of forums...i don't want this to happen as i frequently upload a large number of images in multiple forums....how about tinypic? is it good enough?

EDIT: i just registered a free account in photobucket & uploaded a 1680 x 1050 image of size 165KB......but the image got resized to 1024 x 640...i don't want that to happen...so please suggest me some other options. thank you.

EDIT again : tried tinypic.com..it resized the same image to 1600 x 1000...this is acceptable...it also has all the features i want & is quite user friendly(unlike photobucket which had a lot of features strewn all over the place)...so i guess i'm sticking to tinypic for now...if anyone has any other suggestions please tell me.

@himadari: Why you want that large image to be posted. While most of us can only view an image of height 600-700 px max without scorlling. After that heigth we have to scroll the window. And not viewing any image at a single time decreases its effect. Same thing applies for width. I had seen in most forums they allow a fixed size and after that you have to scroll up and down.

At imageshack I had posted images of 2000 x 600 and these are displayed without any resizing.

Small size open quickly and viewer don't have to wait.

since i am a student of 3d animation i render a lot of images at high resolutions..mostly at 1680 x 1050 or 1600 x900...i want all the details in my render to be clearly visible...hence the requirements:oops:

BTW, isn't anyone here using imgx.org? i get this error message when i try to open the website- Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' (11) if anyone else is getting the same error message..please let me know...thank you.

^ strange. I posted something about tinypic too, seems to have mysteriously disappeared. I use it because I don't have to register, and it still lists images by ip. Not closing the thread though. like it when spambots come along and bump old threads.
