Mozilla Firefox gains 30mn users in 8 weeks; updates to v3.5.4 to fix critical flaws

Chalk up another point for the open-source community! Mozilla’s CEO John Lily, in a Twitter post on Monday, said that the company has gained 30 million Firefox users in the last eight weeks alone.
 
Also, on Tuesday, Firefox received an update to version 3.5.4 in an attempt to fix 16 flaws, 11 of which were deemed critical.

How is this calculated? By the number of downloads of full version? Will that not be unrealistic?

if u feel that people are downloading it multiple times and number should be less.....thn pls dont forget that 1 downloded copy can be spreaded multiple times too like through pen drive....

This is why I feel it is unrealistic... I am not saying it is much higher or lower than real numbers... Just interested to find out how they got the numbers....
