Canonical has stopped shipping the Ubuntu discs to everyone. In fact they have limited the shipping of the same.

nobody should have problems with that, these days with broadband connections ubuntu users can download new release easily.

^but what abt the limited plan users, (like me) they cant download. So shipping was the best alternative.

Hey Varad, these days you get DVD Distros free with mags, not just CD distros. Also, you can always request distros on Indian forums, some FOSS fan or the other will send them to you, you only bear the shipping cost.

* you can download your own CD for free
* you will be able to download the CD wallet artwork
* becoming an Ubuntu member by contributing to Ubuntu, and thereby becoming eligible for more CDs
* And finally, you can purchase CDs

The purchase bit is like 1 pound per CD of ubuntu. If ordering 200CD's its for 135 pounds and shipping is free.
