I am thinking about buying a dell laptop and i wanna know how they provide service and how good service is, especially in Andhra Pradesh, i wanna know how good they provide service.
Please anyone know please tell me about dell services and your experiences with it.

It depends what product you are buying. The XPS machines have 24 hour support I think, but all should solve most problems. They helped me set up my Antivirus on my Mini 9 and it worked in the end.

Dell provides the best service even for inspiron and other range of laptops and desktops.
They even send an engineer to fix the problem if it seems to be too technical to your house at no charges.:mrgreen:

@thetillian, on-site support depends on where you live. Except for few instances here and there, support is pretty good.

its very good...one of my friends has a dell xps and because he had on site warranty, the service was really prompt and nice..

I have a Dell laptop. In Hyderabad the service has been really good. My laptop is covered under something called NBD warranty. So they send the technician to my house on the next business day. So if I call on Monday, my laptop is fixed on Tuesday. :)

I have called 3-4 times in the last 2 years. Never had any issue. They even replaced my laptop's motherboard in 2 days. :D

I want to share my personal experience.

My roommate bought a Dell Inspiron laptop and he's not too techie so basically I handled his side contacting the Dell sevice.

I used Live Chat with Dell Care Executive. They're based in Malaysia and centrally handle the customer support.

They asked me few general question abt the prob. In my case the LCD screen malfunctioned coz sumthing had fallen on the laptop.
They took my hostel address in Greater Noida and next day I received the replacement parts frm a Dell logistics personnel!! (a LCD screen n connector cable)

The day after next an engineer came to my room and did the whole replacement in front of my eyes. I was so pleased wid that.

So that's that wid Dell service. I hope dat gives u an idea of their service!

And yes, I'm in no way affiliated with Dell :)

I dont know about AP, but in Sikkim their service is awesome.
I had a problem with my lappy's (Inspiron 1520) DVD writer. Registered a complain via phone. And a guy came and replaced the part in my hostel.
My friend has a vostro, and he got his motherboard+lcd replaced!
The service is by far the best. I have seen friends with hp, acer and lenovo virtually go mad. In fact one of my friends even registered a case against acer in consumer forum (they originally demanded Rs 10k, after complaint did the work for less than 1k).

DELL has the best 'after sales service' in India. Mostly everywhere they come at your doorstep within 24 hrs of your complaint.
