^ your cabby should have supplied an extension cable or check the mobo accessories, there should be one, or run the cable cross from back side of the mobo mounting panel, I did that.

no such accessories provided. also if i run it across the back, it'll become more short. & theres no hole to pull out the 4pin EPS out near the socket. so what i will go for is basically a extension or if possible a converter. till than i'll have to stick to the old one :sad:

congrats sam...at last i must say..

thanks jas but you better be ready. your cabby's PSU position is at the bottom too. so short cable problem may plague your system. so don't have same fate like mine. having to wait days just cause of a small problem :-(

^ so another day to wait:-(

maybe. maybe another 2 days. if i return home early tomorrow, will go shop else have to skip college on friday.

bro, don't say like that. you don't know my city. its worst place to buy a PC. all the shopkeepers are dumb (it'll be their fortune if called idiots). i'll go past a few shops. & will go for a good one, even if the price is little high. fade-up with PC problems.

sam you wont need a 4 pin to 8 pin EPS12V converter...8pin is needed if you go for a high end processor...but if cable is short, then............

headache? why? i though i saved you quite a bit of headache :confused:

i just need a extension. let it be a 4 to 8 pin or a 4 to 4pin. i just need one.

Does not the CPU have a 4+4 EPS12V...?

yes it got. actually a 8 pin or say 4+4pin. but the PSU's cable isn't that long to reach it. also PSU got a 4pin connector only (along with a 6pin connector, no use in my case).

^ oh! you mean fed-up -------its not just your city, its the problem of complete NE region.

oh yes. mean that. spelling mistake. well NE = useless place (excluding Kolkata & WB).

@Sam
Damn that is bad. Something we should remember from next time. Slightly uncomfortable using a converter on the 12V EPS.
