I have brought a Zenphone 5 few weeks back from tetail market for rs9990 ( guwahati) Also have uaed my friend's moto g in several occasion. I have made the following conclusion.

I would rate Moto g over Zenphone 5. Why find out below

1. Correct me if I am wrong Zenphone 5 is one of the phone with worst battery life. Hardly gives screen on time of 2.5hrs. Can't even complete a long movie. I think this is due to the battery hungry intel x86 architecture based processor.

2. Camera is just average. I did not liked it to much.

3. Heats up very quickly while playing games. I would rather say don't play game on this device not only because it heats up quickly but also as I already mentioned it is very battery hungry.

4. I have been uaing a Gionee Elife e5 for more than a year now. My e5 runs 3G smoothly inside my room while zenphone5 connect and disconnects repeatedly. I think the antenna is not very strong as compared to other phones.

That is it. So think before you buy a zenphone5.

1. true. x86 is power hungry. they took a high power core and started optimizing it for low power. results won't be same as ARM. nothing can be done about it. also using last gen Atom's. The next gen Zenfone (2015) should improve a lot.
3. true for any mobiles with fast hardware. specially ones with slim design.
4. the phone use metal i guess. surely interfering with the antenna. asus may try fixing it in future update or minimizing the problem (can't be fixed fully).

1. False, my device gives me whole movie screen in just 40% remaining battery and after that 3-4 % still remains.
2. Camera is better than Moto G(first gen) not used 2nd gen yet.
3. Every phone with high specs and slim design will do, but still not high as you mentioned.
4. No idea of Gionee.
