yahoo messenger problem

hi!
i have a problem with yahoo messenger. i cannot add or delete contacts from yahoo mesenger. a message appears" the request has taken longer than expected." i tried all versions of yahoo mess. currently using 7.5 on windows xp sp2 with norton antivirus 2005. disabled windows firewall.
please help.

Problem seems to be related to slow net connection!
Thats why its saying "the request has taken longer than expected"...

Lol ... i don't think thats the problem of a slow conn. ..... something wrong with yahoo messenger itself ... i face the same problem .. i add using Trillian or Agile Messenger from my mobile and things are absolutely ok .... donno .. maybe my 234 kbps conn. is slow for Yahoo ...

I was gettin the same prob in rediff bol with my dial up connection.... but yahoo messenger is workin fine ....and my connection speed is around 42 kbps...probably somethin wrong with yahoo messenger..... try redownloading it ...
