Yahoo messenger problem with airtel mobile office !!

Hi guys ! I am facing a strange problem with airtel mobile office and my yahoo messenger.
I use airtel gprs to surf net through my pc (mobile offce)
The problem is i cant add anybody or accept any invitation while on gprs connection..cant even send any file..
But when i use my broadband or even dial up connection it works just fine????
My mobile models are n70 and 3230 and in both i hav the probelem..
Other ims like wlm,rediffbol,google talk are acting perfectly..just yahoo (which i use most) is giving the trouble
I use latest yahoo 7.5 with win xp sp2 on my a64 3000+ 1gb msi k8 neo,ati radeon 9600 rig with pc suite 6.8
any idea???

Not sure why. I use Airtel GPRS + N 3230 + Lappy +Yahoo IM in Win XP SP2, and it is working perfect. My Yahoo IM is not latest, I mean not 7.5 , 7 or so.

I face d same prb... This occurs whn ur gprs speed is slow (below 24kbps) If ur speed goes to abt 36.3kbps, u wont face this prb. (dis happns with airtel
gprs only)

Ask the odr person to send u an invitation n den u accpt d invitation. Repeat
dis procedure 4-5 times for every contact n ur contact will b added!!!
(this is insane)

or else install gaim. I didnt face dis prb with gaim...

I also think it is coz of bad speed,it happens 2 me also,somtimes i m unable 2 log in 2 the messenger coz of bad speed.
