Yahoo Messenger Not Signin In!!!!!!:(

hey guys ...

smthin s wrong wid my yahoo messenger...it doesnt loggin into any account....ive tried removing it nd reinstalling it...but it doesnt make a diff...d same problem exists....whereas when i take d same installation file nd install it on another laptop it works perfectly fine....can ne 1 tell me how 2 resolve dis problem??

disabling any proxies might help...it did for me

Go to Preferences->Connection

Select
No network detection

and click ok and try. If it does not work exit yahoo messenger completely (right click and exit using icon in system tray), and then re-open it and login

im using avast and sophos antivirus and windows firewall

Thats a common problem with GTalk too. It warned me that the time wasnt right though, and to correct it and sign in again. I had this problem for some days when my cmos battery was drenched in Appy... (long story)

Go to Control Panel --> Add/Remove Programs --> Remove YM

Then open your browser, goto Pidgin's official site and download it and install it!!!

So simple!
