Can this card be run in SLI mode with a 7900 GS 512 MB or do we need identical cards for SLI. Anybody know? Kniwor?

No it won't work. you need two identical graphics cards, besides SLI sucks i mean you are better off getting a 8800 GTS 320 MB for the future, the come around 17-18 k these days, also SLI demands higher power supply then a one single card.

I have also pointed out earlier that RS-480 has issues running nVidia cards, my friend has a waste card lying around for that reason, just search around u will find multiple instances.

Is dat d reason company pplre puttin efforts n bringin out Sli compatible rams, PSUs, mobos n stuff???

U dunno d power of an SLi, do ya????

No, actually SLI sucks as price per perfomence ratio ,

see this review, a HD2900 XT with crossfire can give around 58.6 fps, with 8800 GTX you can get around 49 fps, also HD 2900 XT crossfire setup cost around 900 $ while you can get 8800 GTX around 550$ it also uses less power supply not mention some games have issues with SLI.

so a single card better than a SLI

in fact thats the case with everyone.
all the guys wanna buy a a DX10 gfx card and dont wanna invest in a Dx9 card at this moment.
hope u get a buyer.:)

He doesn know any stuff abt cards... Keeps on askin whether 8600 is better than mine...
