Worse than BSOD. Trojan or Virus. Urgent Help!!

I kept trying to close Spybot because I thought it wouldn't work anyway. Then I tried to shut down computer but no response so I turned the power off. Computer is still off.[/FONT]

did you try going into SAFE MODE.

if you can, then do a full system scan in that mode.

if you've a USB ThumbDrive, you can give this ClamWin Portable AntiVirus a try.

also runs thru CD.

read the details in that site on how to install (Usb/CD).

the dlls have unregistered themselves it seems. Could be a virus, but i don't think so, it seems more like some application removed which un-registered these while uninstalling

1st method -> Go to safe mode, put the Windows XP CD in the drive & start->run->sfc /scannow

2nd method-> use some antivirus.

Don't worry your computer is all right, u can open it

^^ concur with both above. also in safe mode clean tempfiles/cache. use ccleaner.

wud it b posbl 4 u to post ur hjt logfile here ???
