Could you please suggest a good computer shop which will give a good quote for this workstation

1. What is the purpose of the computer? What all applications and games are you going to run? (Stupid answers like 'gaming' or 'office work' will not work. Be exact. Which games? Which applications? Avoid the word 'et cetera.')

Ans:Windows 7 64 bit

hackintosh ( if it supports, dual booth)

Ans:Dell U2414H ( hows this for video/photo editing ? )

7. Which components you DON'T want to buy or which components you already have and plan on reusing?
Ans:Sapphire dual-x R9 280x, mite go for the asus GTX 970

8. When are you planning to buy the system?
Ans:in a month or two

9. Have you ever built a desktop before or will this be done by an assembler?
Ans:Yes

10. Where do you live? Are you buying locally? Are you open to buying stuff from online shops if you don't get locally?

Hi julesbgoes,

Based on your budget, I'd suggest you to go with the AMD configuration.

AMD FX-9590 (8 cores).
Asus Crosshair V Formula ATX.
G.Skill Ripjaws X (2 x 8GB) DDR3-1866.
SSD: Samsung 850 Pro 256GB.
WD Black 4TB.

For GPU, you can go with the GTX 980 or professional Nvidia K-series GPU.

Good luck.

Hi adityak469,

I agree with you, the Intel i7-5960x is more reliable than AMD FX 9590 processor. The reason to suggest to AMD FX 9590 to fulfill the requirement of the op, in the same budget. In terms of performance, I believe AMD FX 9590 is the best value for money because the AMD architecture technology is based to improve the efficiency, and good in graphics modelling.

Hi julesbgoes,

I agree with harshilsharma63. For CPU cooler, Cooler Master 212X is best one.

some parts like SSD , blu ray drive will be adding later on . And also a Ram kit , as i get the money. Just want to get the main parts now.

For PSU, I’d suggest you to go with the Seasonic M12II 850 or 750 because in the future, you are planning to add other components as well.

It all depends on your budget, because SSDs are expensive; however they are worth every penny.
The difference between cheaper SSDs and more expensive ones that have similar capacity is their write speeds. Expensive ones are usually 540MB/s write speeds while cheaper ones go up to around 250MB/s write speeds only. Read speeds however, are the same.

Good Luck.
