Hello ,

I have just formatted my PC and installed Win XP.

Now the problem is each time i start my PC , a Windows Security Alert (Which has an icon of a red shield with a cross on it) comes up on my system tray and says "the computer might b at risk".

It always pops-up on startup.

How can i get rid of this?

Click on that icon in system tray, it'll open Security Center. U'll see recommendations
buttons for Firewall and Virus Protection.

Click on those buttons and select the option "I'll monitor it myself, thank you very much" (or something close to that).

U can also check following link:
