I have win XP home edition on my desktop. I would like to know whether is it worth buying Windows Media center edition for my new laptop???

nah...from what i've read, WinXP MCE is useless if u dont have a good enough graphics card and a tv tuner (preferrably with FM radio support) and oodles of ram and hard disk space.
besides, MCE was made for a home entertainment package, winxp pro wud be more suitable for a laptop. anyway, lets hear others' views.

what he said

mce is based on home ... so as an advanced user a person might not be able to tune and tweak certain aspects
if u really dun care then home it is
mce was specifically built for integrated functionality and support for tv tuner cards ( and inbuilt fm radio as well )
if you dun have it ... no point .. just a waste ...

instead yeah i would recommend buying pro,
if not get home and stick to it ... save a grand or so

Baby.. Windows media center is going to be for home and multimedia purposes dude. U know what WMC does naa? We can watch TV tune for chanells , listen radio etc etc.. also have this home theater system with TV, audio system and ur PC attached.. so it wont be much of use if you want to use with your lappy :D
