Dreaming
Whatever..................

Offtopic..

as long as i can email, manage my website, make some money, socialize with people, participate in forums....... all is ok. provided its cheap/affordable.

And anyway i get everything for free.................

I don't know what Windows 7 will be like.

But as of now MS is making terrible software. Very resource consuming.
They have forgotten the basics of Engineering. No doubts about that.

That won't be for long. We will join MS and change it for them ;)
Else build the Next MS ;)
If not then they loose. Already these MS value is going down am people when google is growing at light speed.......:p

The touch UI will not change the market perception that Microsoft got after Vista, MS I think si well aware of that. I highly doubt that the touch UI will be a feature in all variants of 7, like Vista which has a few tablet features, 7 might have these features in the top end versions, but certainly not in all. Going by convention the Touch UI will be part of certain variants of 7 & not all.

@ring wraith
yup, nd also like in Halo series
and its shown in Ironman with gr8 detail. designing his body armor on thin air with his bare hands.
lol, i wanna play games like that. We can have free form movements nd not just performing from a set of predefined movements.

Legen-wait for it-dary!
When I saw Iron man, I was like WTF it was really cool, 3D modelling done in a real 3D environment, not in the 2d Monitors we have, and that with touch control is awesome! I told this girl next to me in the cinema, that I would really kill for such technology. I wonder if hollywood is trying to plant ideas into MS's head... Anyone betting on Microsoft buying Wacom soon?

really ,touch screen on large screen .....na,I don't think its gonna work..just look at the time and energy required by people to lift and touch every time..you can do much better using a wireless keyboard ...useful for small devices ,but useless for the big ones

how bout a separate touch pad which displays a small area of original screen on the touch pad itself...say in zoomed in mode?
so we need to move our hands minimum nd still enjoy the gr8 feature. We can work with much higher resolutions in this way.

^^ something similar is there in Vista, sidebar technology, I think LG uses it in some laptops.

Its not same
LG uses the gadget feature on an external display. We need to download gadgets that supports it. like music player, solitaire. They are called sideshow gadgets which can be extended to an external display.
but we dont have the freedom of having the entire desktop control on a small LCD touchscreen with zoom or somethin like that.
We can then work on say a 42" display @ 2560*1920 with touchscreen which otherwise wund't be possible.
