1) u cant mention other magazines in here
2) sp1 is fine ... for sp2 ... digit will not be able to put it on their cd's (neither will C**P) cuz simply they arent allowed to !
so u can wait for a year ... then maybe ull see sp2 on the cd's
if ur lucky and the stay order is off .. they will carry it..
or wait for ur friend to download it so u can get it from him

This month's digit DVD has Windows XP Service Pack 2 Release candidate. what od u mean by release candidate, also what is SoHO????

Hey prajneet - release candidate can also be called a beta. It is a one of the candidates for final release. But remember it is not the final release. It will have lotz of bugs too.

I had once read in Digit that they do not distribute Beta software - guess this time is an exception!

Guys who can't download it can try ordering the MS security update CD after SP2 is released... may work...

win sp2 release candidate's got a bug.
MY PINACLE TV TUNNER CARD HAS STOPPED WORKING. THE PATCH FROM THE PINNACLE SITE DOES NOT WORK.
IF I USE WINDOWS XP 50 GB FROM MY 200 GB WILL GO.
I AM STUCK IN BETWEEN.

Well i has posted this earlier too...but can anyone tell me where has MS written not share the SP2 and all other softwares on the cds

dont know, Hitesh... i think it was Raabo who told us... besides, they said CDs, not DVDs.... so chill ... ;)

many have including me
no bugs as such in normal use
anyways doesnt amtter ... 1 week and the final releases so wait till then
