This is just a fantasy/fiction. But could surely be possible in future if someone comes up with some replacable DLL files :p This would have bee much easier As if M$ source was known ;)

yes I do know.... u can replace the shell of the win os with any other program.....

this is how to do it ....

start>run type msconfig
in the system.ini tab open the boot tree and find a key "shell=explorer.exe"
replace explorer.exe with any application u want.... remember this can be dangerous...I once tried this with notepad but then I reverted back as I was lucky enough that notepad allows us to modify .ini files...

Hmm.. FireFox dont have many API calls that Explorer has .. So you will have to use some shell over it to try ... Nice idea though .. Ill see whenever I wont feel lazy :p

ALthough I doubt Firefox would work as a shell replacement Im just not willing to try that out on my system as an experiement. I recall using Litestep some ages ago and the result was disastrous. Doesnt Litestep do the same thing ?
