Will Asus router act as extender

Hi,
I am having a Netgear Wireless G router for providing Wireless access to LAN and Internet at my office. I am now looking for a printer server for converting my HP Laserjet 1020 from usb printer to network printer. I saw that Asus has a Wireless N Router RT-N13U which is both router as well as printer server. I am considering this over TP-Link : TL-PS310U : Single USB2.0 Port MFP Print Server And Storage Server since cost difference is less and additional functionality is there.

Due to location implications, my Netgear router has to be the main router and the asus one has to be the extender. My doubts are:

1. Can I configure the asus router to act as extender?
2. Will there be an increase in the range of access by using N router instead of G router (they are not going to be too far off, but one is in Ground floor and other is in first floor)
3. Has anyone used the printer server feature of the ASUS router? Any feedback?

Thanks in advance
Arun
