Wifi Router and USB wifi Adapter required

Hello

I am to buy the following thing from my uncles house

1) Wifi Router
2) USB wifi adapter for pc

currently he is using a cable provided internet which does not require any modem, just plug and play

now he want to buy a router for home use, i have seen people recommending W8968, now this router has modem i am not sure whether it will work or not with my connection,

he also wish to connect a printer and macbook to wifi also in future

Please suggest good wifi

can you please tell me if w8968 works with cable guy provided internet, i mean adsl modem feature is not required, but good to have for future, who knows in future if i relocate and get a connection which required adsl modem

so hence i am asking

looks like you didn't open the link i posted earlier so here it is copy pasted from my other post from that link:
any modem with more than 1 lan port is also a router.it is just that configuring dedicated router(or modem like w8968 which has an EWAN port similar to WAN port of router) is easier to understand & configure.
