Since the past couple of days I have been encoding audio files with dbpoweramp convertor because of which I have had to keep my computer switched on for almost 8- 10 hours at a streach with CPU utilisation showing 100% in task manger. I had also run the SW GameXP provided by Digit this month or the last monthwhich claims to optimiseur system to play games.
Since then I have been seeing that when I try to boot up my Computer CHKDSK automatically starts up and checks the C: drive for error. However at the end it says no error found and then proceeds with the booting. CHKDSK starts up around every alternate boot ups.
It also does not feature in the list of Scheduled tasks as I do not usethe Sceduled task option.
My processor is an AMD Athlon XP 2100+
I have 512 MB DDR RAM rom Hynix running Windows 2000 with Service Pack 3 loaded
Please tell me why is this happening & what can I do to recify this.

thanx alib_i. I think I found the prblem. The problem arose because of some tweaks performed by the sw Game XP. I had fortuately backed up my profile. So on restoring it the problem too dissappeared
