Which processor is best ????????

Hi
I am confused which mobo i should buy for AMD Phenom x550 for overclocking and overall performance with tight budget.(I have psu SAGA 500w, cabinet 2 top fan ,1 rear & 1 front fan RAM Gskill [Ripjaws] DDR3-1600 (PC3 12800) 4gb kit.) can i play call of duty black ops on this cofig??

Compare following mobos for this config

Gigabyte GA-MA785GMT-US2H Rs.3400/
Asus M4A88T-M LE Rs.3750/
Gigabyte GA-880GM-UD2H Rs.4250/

Get Athlon II X4 635/640 and Gigabyte GA-880GM-UD2H.

To play CoD: Black Ops, you'll need a discrete graphic card.

You can get it easily here in Chennai, IIRC i see one at Richie street while i went to Chennai a month back.

You won't believe, some shops have this in stock, but you need to find one. That's it.

i have ati 5450 g card...rs 2500 is it sufficient???
i cant change x2 550 becoz its compared with x4 645 for gaming x550 working better.i almost compare on most gaming benchmark site.

try to get that 880GMA board. Otherwise stick with ASUS variants.

You are correct there. Phenom II X2 550 is slightly better for gaming as it has a 6MB L3 cache. But the gaming performance difference isn't much between them. Athlon II X4 is faster in everything else and 4 cores will help you in the long run imo.

You can choose any of them. You can't go wrong.

And the games will take advantage of multi-core's soon, like GTA4...

So X4 is better than X2 anyday.

Also HD 5450 is not at all a gaming card, it is a HTPC graphics card. If your resolution is 1024X768 then may be those games are playable but any higher resolution, it will be a problem.
For good gaming experience at least a HD 5570 or HD 5670 is required. The 512 MB HD 5670 sells a t 4.5K.

I'll also suggest you to go with a quad core processor like Athlon II 640

see. if you are bent on a x2 550 i will suggest a core i3 550 instead. but none of them gives competition to athlon II x4 640's value. my dear friend future is quad core. games are becoming multithreaded. directx 11 is multithreaded.

let me tell u in short

4850 is a good card but use more power in comparison to all of above
forget 4xxx series
go for either 5xxx/6xxx series

450 will be better than 4850. so a 5770 even better. 5670 wont be.
