Which one 2 choose???

Hey i am newbie to linux and wondering which distro to install...

Ubuntu or Opensuse 10.3 or Linspire or linux mint

Ubuntu is not possible as it's installation is not starting on my Hp Pavilion DV6501au laptop...

Please suggest me one which is easy for newbie...

Ubuntu or Kubuntu if that doesn't work for you get fedora

Try booting the CD in Safe Mode if that doesn't work boot by pressing F6

@ansari:u should get "Ubuntu alternate cd" yes, "alternate cd" for installation,NOT normal cd.
