Which Lan Card?

I wish to purchase a LAN card for SIFY Cable Internet. Please suggest which LAN card to go for as there are cheap ones for eg. Intex at 220/- and expensive 3Com for 1250/-. Secondly is there any significant throuput & performance improvement in 3Com chipsets?

INTEX costs only Rs 175. It's better that u get cheaper ones, even if it wears out u can always get a new one. I suggest u to get a cheaper one. Basically all LAN cards are the same, get the cheaper ones.

well bud...the Lancard just acts like a interface between ur Comp and Telephone/Cat/Coexial cable..etc..so dont waste Money on Big brands....even i am using a Onboard Solution..and no probs yet ....and 175/- is dart cheap..grab it....

I HAVE A CRD O pronet GOT IT FOR Rs225 ITS REALLY GOOD !!! I GOT IT A WEEK BACK !!

me too have been using PRONET. and it does the job very well. anyways u wanna spend few more bucks go with DLink.

BTW u cud look out for Dlink ,heard thats gud too.

Thanks I will first go for Pronet and if I won't get then I will settle for Intex. I wish I have fruitful experience with sify :roll:
