Hello!
Well, the question is there in the topic title itself and I guess it is pretty self explanatory.
So, what is the answer according to you? And why? And do you use it yourself?
Thanks! :)

Please elaborate.

I myself am using Ad Aware, Spybot, Spywareblaster and Win Defender, of course along with Avast.

But over the past few months none of these ever detected anything but I have never faced any Spyware/Adware/Virus problems either.

How do u get time to use all those :?
I get bored by that single long Spybot S&D scan..i feel most antivirus like KAV,NOD,NAV have inbuilt spyware guard. Other than that..i only use Windows malicious Software removal tool once a month :)

I "HAVE" Adaware and Spybot SnD... I rarely use it... Mostly my system is stable and rarely do i install any trial software, etc... Even then, I only go for freeware that has been reviewed and given good ratings by many different known websites... So, I rarely worry about these things...

There was a time when I did a lot of messing around with the computer... At that time, more than the spyware, the Firewall was my greatest asset... As soon as I install a new software, if it has a spyware installed and tried to access the net, the firewall would catch it... In addition, I also had to run the spyware tests regularly because not all spyware used such direct methods of accessing the internet...

Now, once you get comfortable with the stuff around you, you dont need to experiment that much...

Other than Ad Aware, all others have real time protection.

Tech'ing life seriously!!
hey u can use Spybot. i am using it for 3yrs now and believe me very very... less attacks. i also use ad aware, but not much as it has a tendency to eat up system resources... more over their is no resident protection in free ver of adaware...

whereas its not the same with Spybot...

give it a try...

and remember perfection can never b acheived... so the best antispyware/antivirus will never evolve...ok...

What I meant to say was, after you spend some time browsing the net, knowing whats what and where, you will hardly get infected. And if you get infected by CDs, etc.. your anti virus is lame...
