Both are way too much overkill for 5670. The 350W PSU should be able to handle 5670 if it isn't very old. Although, a good PSU is always better, it makes components last longer, gives a lesser power bill, is more reliable and allows better overclocking. You should go for FSP saga II 350w @ 1.4k

^^ AMD fan?

get the HD5670 512Mb & which PSU is that? a solid 300W PSU will handle HD5670 but even a generic 500W PSU will have problem under load.

get FSP Saga II 350W or higher.

^^ cost of 3 generic psu = price of a good branded psu. also most generic psu don't last more than a yr once you install a gpu. so better to do a 1 time investment.

If thats the case then how do the Branded PCs last for 5-6yrs..
They too use those generic PSUs.

Yeah, i am talking of PCs without Graphics Card. But even if we add a GPU for under 3k, they still work..

HOW???

And sam all the best for ur 5k posts. Make it today.

^not all generic PSUs last
I myself seen many instances where generic PSUs failed even without graphic cards, right now i can remember six of them(4 with gfx and 2 on igp)

no. not all branded PC use generic PSU. some use generic but good quality PSU whereas some get PSU from OEM (no Corsair, Tagan stuff). something that can last for 2yrs or till warranty lasts.

also most branded PSU hardly see any upgrade other than ram or hard drive. so not much chance of PSU overload.

HOW???

3k GPU = 45-50W extra. not much difference. add a 9600GT, turn on PC & enjoy the fireworks

huh? oh yes. thanks :)

But what about Branded PCs then. How do they survive for long with those Generic PSUs.

branded PC PSU are not of crap quality. just they are cheap. most comes with 250W or 300W PSU that have ~70% efficiency. so they are cheap to make (manufacturers order them in bulk from OEM straight) & provides clean power for a long time.

just think, they use a 250W FSP PSU. a 350W 80% efficient PSU cost 1.5k. so a 70% efficient 250-300W PSU will cost the same as a local one (if ordered in bulk) i.e. Rs.500 but will last easily for 2-3yrs. i am not sure but this is my thinking.
