Which is better?

I want to know which is the better company from the items given below:
Processors-
Intel,AMD

MotherBoard-
Intel,Asus,MSI

Graphics Card-
ATI,Nvidia

Also,I have ATI onboard graphics(upto 256 MB extendable) on my intel motherboard.Which Graphics Card should I buy?

It depends on what type of output you need , your cost limitations etc.

but Let me go through with lil knowledge =]

1. Processors: Intel are best in performance if you consider the High End offernings. Core 2 duo etc. but AMD has a GOOD Performance Price ratio.

2. Motherboard: I cant comment if chipsets arent defined :$. Too many options.

3. nVidia is a clear winner in most things but in case of Multi Display offerings and performance I read that ATI HD series performs better than nVidia.

I have ATI onboard graphics on my motherboard.Can I still install an nvidia graphics card.I mean, any compatibilty problems?I have ATI Radeon Xpress 200 chipset(as it says in intel's website)

Intel-Asus-Nvidia........Peeeerfect combination.

I think AMD-Asus-nVidia combination is much better than Intel-Asus-Nvidia. But only due to the sheer power inside Intel's Core2Duo lineup, they are going away with the performance crown. AMD solution has the best bang for the buck. I can easily get good AMD dualcore processor + mobo with nvidia onboard graphics for 5.5-6k. Add the extra 3k-4k that I save in here to the graphics card and I can get a much better solution than what I get with Intel. Just my thought.

I am going for a X2 4400+, ASUS Mobo + 8600 GT and it is costing me atlest 4-5k lessser than Intel combo [E4400+ Intel Mobo] offering

That is a good config. which clearly speaks for P vs P. Also try for getting those BE edition AMD processor because they are 45 watt processors. Least power consuming in the market!
Also check the power consumption chart from AMD website if u are buying any other processor.
AMD is known for eco-friendly processor and there is a good reason that if u buying AMD and u don't see power consumption!

MSI's first Xpress 200 beased mobo,, ie MSI RS 480 M2IL has issues with nvidia cards. MSI soon released a better mobo at same price, ie RS 482 M2IL and RS482 M4IL. They have no issues with nvidia cards.
MSI also said, the older RS 480 M2IL can work with nvidia cards if the firware was updated.
So if uve RS480, then just check some nvidia cards from friends' before buying. ANd also check after upgrading the firmware.


And Yup, AMD proccy has best bang for da buck and also feature rich mobo can be bought bor roughly 3k which is never possible for Intel

If ur budget for proccy+mobo is 12k+, then Intel is the way to go.

For 12k, I can get a good 945chipset mobo with entry level Intel core2duo processor. For that price, in AMD, I can get MSI K9N4 SLI - F mobo that supports SLI, Creative Live Soundcard, AMD 5200+ X2 proccy running at 2.6 GHz with 2MB L2 cache. This is gonna smoke Intel solution that costs 15k

I suffered this pain almost 18 months.....almost gave birth to 2 babies...LOL
But yeah thats what with the chipset!

there is no denying that the core2duo processor is powerful but that comes at a price. At the same price, there is an AMD processor that performs well in line with c2d, not beating it along with a powerful motherboard. As I said earlier, for an entry level c2d's price, I can get entry level X2 along with a motherboard that has 256Mb shared graphics memory etc. For 10k, I can get a powerful AMD processor, motherboard with wifi out, multimedia remote, powerful nvidia chipset etc. This easily negates that extra performance given by C2D. X2 is also very good in overclocking. Why not buy an X2 with powerful motherboard and then overclock it to match it's performace with c2d in the price range. I think this will be more feasible.

^^^ if u oc both a C2D and AMD then the AMD will be no match for the C2D in oc departments.c2ds r far better oc'ers than amd.so i u want sheer performance then its better to go for C2D or C2Q.

what I am trying to say is for the price of C2D + motherboard, I can get X2 + mobo + entry level dx10 graphics card, which will blow away c2d+ motherboard in terms of power. Put another 2-3k and I shall get 8600 based Graphics card. Do some over clocking on X2 for more performance.

^^^ C2D will give u more bang for the buck if u oc it.a E4400 (costing 5k) when oc'd to 3GHz or above will give u performance of say a c2d (at stock) costing 8k.so if u wanna oc then go for c2d else amd.

Thats all about the Low power consumption and higher performance.....Like wise when u need more performance u will require more power. C2Q,C2D are much better than AMD X2 when it comes to high end systems and when u have no concerns of power consumptions.
But when it comes to Power savings and low, low-mid range.....no one can touch AMD!
The new AMD BE series are 45W processors which is the least power hungry processors ever built!

Its simple
more performance=more power consumption
