which battery is used in APC ups for pc?

I had bought exide 7ah battery for my Numeric 600va, it used to give great backup but after 6 months backup reduced from 15min to 7min to 1minute now. I have sent it for RMA. My cousin has a 7 year old APC which still gives 5 min for his p4.
So what is the name of battery used in APC ups? I want to buy same brand battery for numeric 600.

actually i have earthing, but the extension box which i used from wall socket to connect my ups did not provide earthing for whatever reason(i discovered this just a month back). now i connect spike buster to wall socket, so now i have earthing. i do not get shock when i touch monitor screen or metal part of cabinet anymore.

do you think all these months, battery was getting damaged due to no earthing? my cousin also did not have earthing for 5 years but his ups+battery has lasted so long.
