(1) Whether any one knows that Why the following 500 GB Seagate Barracuda hdd is not Listed On the Seagate web site?

(2) Is it a wise decision to buy this New Series hdd?. If not, please suggest Other Latest reliable seagate 500 GB hdd.

(3) These days, how many years Warranty, Seagate is giving on its hdd’s?

(4) Whether the warranty period start from the Mfg. Date of Hdd Or From the date of purchase?

get Western Digital. its warranty is very good.
get a WDC 500GB Blue.
no need to go sata3 for HDD. SSD benefit from sata3 most.

Then go with simple Seagate 500GB 7200rpm 3Gb/sec HDD.
Or, at best you can search your local market for that 6Gb/sec HDD.
