What to use a tv tuner card for?

I am getting tv tuner (external) for my system, but I dont have cable right now.
Any other use for which the card is useful? I am just curious.

You may also be able to use the TV tuner Card for capturing video from your camcorder, VCR and the like. check the specs of your TV tuner card and also whether the necessary cables and capture software are supplied with the card.
