I am an 'experienced' pc user for years but i have never been able to understand the purpose of using windows mail or mozilla thunderbird email clients>>>>>
Why would anyone use them other than for commercial uses (like-customer responses, handling large no. of mail replies...)?????
Doesn't yahoo and gmail spam filters fufill the purposes??
Plz help(though i would still never use them)

They are desktop mail clients. They are better than using webmail interface because not only your time but your bandwidth is also saved. To open a webmail account, you first open the login page and enter your username and password there. Then the interface of webmail loads. But if you use these clients, it's not required to open any webpage to login, making the process complete faster. Also you don't need to see any ads.
Mail are available for offline viewing as well and you can compose mail even when you are not connected to the internet, which can be sent the moment you are connected to the internet.

And if you use the built-in email app in your phone, like me, you are using a mail client.
